How much storage space do I actually need?
Disk storage refers to the amount of server disk storage your account is allocated. This space is used to store your html files, graphics, audio/video files and all other files that make up your web site. As an example, 25MB of storage space will hold five hundred 50K web pages! Large databases, audio, video, and graphic files consume the most space. You can upgrade your account at any time if more storage space is needed.

What is Bandwidth (or Data Transfer) and will I have enough?
Any outbound traffic from your web site is considered data transfer. Each time a html file, graphic file or any other element on your web page is loaded, data transfer is generated. As a guideline, 1,000MB (1GB) of data transfer would allow visitors to view over 600 50KB-pages per day! You can always upgrade your account at any time if the popularity of your site increases.

Do you handle domain registration?
Yes! Register your domain name for just $14.95 per year, or $25.00 for two years on our Domain Registration page. You can also transfer your existing domain name if you wish.

How do I point my domain name to my Buck-a-Year website?
As soon as your account has been activated, you will receive an email with instructions on modifying your DNS settings. You will then have to logon to your "domain manager" (where you registered your domain name) or instruct your domain name registrar to modify your DNS settings to point to the server on which your site is located. Once your DNS settings have been modified it can take 24 to 48 hours for the change to propagate throughout the Web.

Are you an ISP - do you offer dial-up service?
No, we are not an Internet Service Provider but we have established a working relationship with WebWorkz. Internet access through WebWorkz is just $12.00 per month. Sign up here and receive two months free with annual prepayment.

What will be my renewal fee at the end of my first year?
We guarantee that it will remain the same as your first year. $25 for a 25MB site, $50 for a 100MB site, etc.

How do I transfer files to my web site?
Files may be transferred to the web server via File Transport Protocol (FTP). CuteFTP is VERY easy to use, and has a very intuitive, easy to use interface. The lower left panel is YOUR COMPUTER - the lower right panel is THE REMOTE SITE - in this instance, your ftp site. Everything is drop and drag - to upload, drag the appropriate file from the left panel to the right panel. To download a file on the remote server, simply reverse the process - drag the file on the remote server - lower right hand panel - over to the lower left panel. Easy! You can also upload files via your Web Site Control Panel or FrontPage.

Will I have unlimited access to update my pages?
You have unlimited access via FTP to your site over the Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can "upload" files to your site - in other words, transfer files from your computer to one of our web servers on the Internet - and you can also "download" files from your site - in other words, transfer files from your site on our web servers, to your computer.

Will I be able to access my domain name with or without the 'WWW'?
Yes, you will be able to access the domain name with or without the WWW in front. For example, you could access the domain name "yourdomain.dom" by going to "www.yourdomain.dom" as well as "yourdomain.dom".

Do you place banners or pop-ups on my web pages?
Absolutely not! We will never place pop-ups or other types of forced advertisements on your web site. The only only way an ad is going to show up on your site is if you place it there!

Do you host other domain extensions besides .Com .Net?
Yes, we host all domain name extensions - .nu, .to, .ws, .co, .uk, .cc, etc.

What contract and payment terms are available?

How long does it take to set up a new account?
Your account will be activated within 24 hours! Once your account is set up an activation notice will be sent to you via email including your username, password, and FTP hostname. You can begin uploading files to your new web site immediately.

How do I place an order and how is payment made?
